Infection Control

MARC's Prevention and Management of Bacterial Infections Task Force, a subcommittee of MARC's Medical Review Board, drafted a position statement to address the fact that some Network dialysis providers refuse to admit patients who are colonized or positive for Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus (VRE) and/or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). The resulting paper is entitled Admission of VRE/MRSA Colonized or Positive Patients to Network 5 Dialysis Facilities.
