Kidney Transplant Q&A

Increasing Educational Efforts to
Promote Kidney Transplant:

Every ESRD patient should receive information about transplant as a possible renal replacement therapy. Since 1999, the Network 5 Transplant Subcommittee has conducted efforts to educate dialysis facility staff and patients about kidney transplant. This included the development of a quality improvement tool used in dialysis facilities that answers questions about kidney transplant from many perspectives. This tool has been updated to help dialysis patients, family members, and dialysis facility staff learn more about kidney transplant.
