Council Meetings

2008 Council Meeting
The 2008 MARC Council Meeting, Preserving Patient Safety, was held at the Conference Center at the Maritime Institute in Linthicum Heights, MD, on February 28, 2008. Topics included:

  • Disaster Diets
  • Dealing with Psychiatric Patients
Shelia Dabney Memorial Award
Shelia Dabney, MARC Data Clerk and beloved friend of us all, passed away on August 30, 2007, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. In memory of Shelia's hard work and perseverance, MARC presented the first annual Shelia Dabney Memorial Award to Debra Lester, RN, at its 2008 Annual Council Meeting. Each year, MARC will choose someone from the Network 5 renal community who displays Shelia's legacy of determination, goodwill and optimism. The winner will be recognized during the annual Council meeting's awards ceremony.
