ESRD Network 5 has 13 transplant centers that perform kidney and/or pancreas transplants in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virgina, and West Virginia. The Network also maintains a Transplant Subcommittee, a standing Medical Review Board (MRB) subcommittee, which promotes transplantation as a treatment modality for all patients who are medically and psychosocially suitable candidates. The Network encourages referral of patients for evaluation for transplant candidacy.
